Born and raised in Southeast Michigan, Attorney Brandon S. Thomson provides legal expertise on a wide range of client issues with a focus on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Veterans Benefits, Guardianship and Conservatorship, and Probate matters. He is a VA-accredited attorney, a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Elder Law and Disability Rights, and Estate Planning and Probate sections of the State Bar of Michigan.

Attorney Thomson graduated from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Cum Laude. During that time, he served as an Editor on the Law Review, clerked for Federal Magistrate Stephen Whalen, received the Certificate of Merit Award for Property Law and Elder Law, and assisted senior citizens as a student attorney in the Probate and Estate Planning Clinic.

Brandon was awarded the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School Eugene Krasicky Award given to the law review editor who made the most significant contributions to the law review. Attorney Thomson was a featured speaker at: -Rotary International on the topic of “How to Protect Your Assets.” -The National Business Institute CLE seminar “Protecting Assets While Qualifying for Medicaid.

Attorney Brandon Thomson works closely with Elder Advocacy Group on a unique approach to the challenges of aging.  They combine the legal planning and documents together with the logistics of healthcare coordination into a holistic approach called life care planning. Life Care Planning is client-centered approach to elder law. It is designed to address each individuals unique needs and circumstances.  In addtion, Life Care Planning can provide lifetime protection for clients. So if circumstances change, the plan can change with them.  That is great peace of mind for seniors as their families as they prepare to meet the unknown challenges of aging.
